Cloth Diaper

Never did I imagine of having to start things all over again after more than 15 years. So many new products, so many choices. one of them, cloth diapers. The idea of cloth diapering came for a number of reasons, as for me. no. 1, k nowing that disposable diapers were actually undisposable. They "undegraded" for hundreds of years (go green, yeah!). secondly, they are practically economic, if we used to buy expensive brands (cheap ones cause rashes mah) and for those who plans to have more kids (not me). thirdly to protect my precious from diaper rash (imagine yourself having one). fourth being, they came with many attractive prints and colours.

These are some of my collection, altogether have 15 of them. Freshbots Onesize Pocket Diaper were bought from fabulousmom.com. RM69.90 per piece and 2 inserts included. My favorite is this Freshbots pink floral one. The lime green is Lunatots Onesize Pocket Diaper (button) from lunatots.com and momslittleones.com. Priced at RM39.90 with 1 insert. Love Lunatots for the buttons since its easier to wash in the washing machine. Unlike velcro type, no worrying about it sticking to other cloth diapers or baby garments.

Really excited to use these pocket diapers. Baby can wear them day and night and even when going out. Baby’s tush keep dry. How it works, the diaper cloth that touches baby’s bum is made of a material that stays totally dry even after water passes through, and the inner removable inserts made of microfibre is the one drinking up the water, trapping it. So baby feels dry, and the PUL cover is water proof so it doesn’t pass through to the clothes (i quote these from cloth diaper sites). How to wash, once soiled, i just take out the insert and put it inside wet pail (i reuse the water to water hubby's fruit trees!) For baby poos, I wash the poos down the tiolet before keep them in the pail. the stain is so easy to clean.

My precious on her cloth diapers...
